A Note From The Author

"A garden of erotic delights" is how the John Dies at the End series was described by critic Bernard Pillson in the esteemed literary journal, Reviews Of Books We Have Not Gotten Around To Reading Yet. David Wong's WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST READ: A Novel of Cosmic Horror is the third book in the series chronicling the gruesome yet baffling adventures of John, Dave, Amy and other characters who may or may not still be alive for the third go-around.

The first book in the series, John Dies at the End, became a massive underground hit and was adapted into a wonderfully batshit film by horror legend Don Coscarelli. The second volume, This Book Is Full of Spiders: Seriously, Dude, Don't Touch It became an instant New York Times bestseller and literally has a higher Amazon review score than Moby Dick (and at least two of the negative reviews were from readers upset that the package had arrived damaged).

Wong's other series consists solely of the Alex award-winning Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits, which drew raves from the New York Times and was called "subtly brilliant" by Publisher's Weekly. Will Wong eventually write a bad book? Almost certainly, but he assures us that is years away.

David Wong is also the Executive Editor of comedy megasite Cracked.com and has written dozens of articles over there. You can keep up with updates at the main website or you can become a fan on Facebook.
